Both options include the same pre-configured hardware, carrier activation, and 24/7 managed service. The difference is who does the physical setup.
Hardware ships pre-configured to your site either way. You choose how it gets installed.
Both options require an available Ethernet port configured for DHCP and a power outlet within 6 feet of the device. What does that mean?
These requirements apply to both self-install and pro install. They're standard for any cellular router deployment and are typically already in place at commercial locations.
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is how your router automatically assigns an IP address to a new device when it's plugged in. It's enabled by default on virtually all business-grade firewalls and routers — if you've ever plugged in a laptop or another device and it just connected, DHCP was doing that work.
If you're not sure whether your port is configured for DHCP, ask your IT team or network administrator before your installation date. If you need help checking, email us at [email protected] — we'll walk you through it at no charge.
Pro Install is a scheduled 2-hour window with a dispatched technician. The following policies apply.
